Privacy policy

Effective 21 October 2026 · Applies to the PromptClean Chrome extension and this website.

In short: PromptClean does not collect, send, sell or share any data. It has no servers and no account. Everything it does happens in your browser, on your device.

Who we are

PromptClean is published by Alwin Paldano. Questions about this policy go to alwinpaldano@gmail.com.

What the extension reads, and when

What it stores on your device

Removing the extension removes what it stored on this device.

What it sends

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests of any kind: no analytics, no crash reports, no logs, no licence checks. Its build includes an automated check that fails if a network request is ever added. What you finally send to an AI site is sent by you, through that site, under that site's own terms.

Sharing and selling

We do not receive your data, so there is nothing to share or sell. We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, use it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

The uninstall survey

When you remove the extension, Chrome opens a short, optional survey asking why. It is a Google Form. The extension sends nothing to it, and the address carries no information about you. If you answer, we see only what you choose to type, and Google's privacy policy applies to the form itself.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts or fonts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses for security; GitHub's privacy statement covers those.

Children

PromptClean is a work tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If what the extension reads, stores or sends ever changes, we will update this page and its effective date before releasing that version, and say so in the release notes.
